TWEET GENIUS: SOCIAL SCOPE BETA BEAT YOU TO IT

Today on Cinco De Mayo, I managed to drunkenly download the long awaited and hyped 1.0.0 version of TweetGenius developed by one of my favorite blogs The Boy Genius Report.


After using the Alpha version of Social Scope for a few weeks and then Social Scope finally releasing their Beta last week, and being thoroughly impressed with it. I was a bit reluctant to buy TG for $4.99. But I did anyway.

First Impressions:

- Slow
- Looks like social scope
- UI is a bit cheesy.

But they did think liven the user interface up with some animations. TweetGenius is ascetically on point with many aspects of the iPhone, Mac computers' UI. But you can't help but think that all of the bells and whistles prevent TG from being as fast as it could be.

The speed has definitely made it a sour experience for me. Almost regretting my purchase. But I will stick with it hoping that the next build fixes the speed issue.

If you want it. Get it. If you don't, don't. After all, its just Twitter.

UPDATE: The 1.0.2. build fixed connectivity and speed.

TWITTER MADE SOOOO EASY

Destroy Twitter is the illest desktop Twitter app I've come across. The UI is very simple and straight forward... and pretty. And since everything's a Beta, I can only imagine when the full release makes it way to the surface, how great it will be.

I highly recommend you check this one out.
