The homie Eli Escobar (Plant Music, Work, Tiki Disco, Night People, and the list goes on) finally has the visual to go along with the heater off the Desire EP
This post is dedicated to some cool new jams and a classic. NERD's track Hypnotize U produced by Daft Punk off their new album Nothing released this past week. A cool viral video+iPhone app from Cassius and another Ed Banger classic after the jump.
I fell in love with Uffie not too long after I picked up 'Pop the Glock' some time in '09. She is the OG of this girly rap sh*t. For sure. Those other jawns can't hold a candle to her.
the clipse have always been one of my favorite entities in hip hop music. their artistry with words has always been a focal point of mine and have kept them on my "top" lists. however, the string of singles that they've released so far coupled with some pretty cliche, digitally (inexpensively) shot, music videos i'm afraid they're losing their gusto. read somewhere that the clipse were unique because not only were malice and pusha equally good with words and survived the wanna-be-thug era, but they were so good at talking about cocaine and avoiding saying the same thing twice.
now, this latest street single door man just seems lazy. it's a banger, but its almost completely devoid of their trademark creativity. i will say, i like almost anything the clipse do so i'm not mad perse just a bit disappointed. and hoping when 'the casket' does drop, i'll be happy.
