NEW PODCAST SERIES: DESKTAPE !!!

You may all remember the Workout tapes I used to do.  They were a deal great fun to make and I thank all of you who downloaded the 10 or so.  But as I grow, so must the content I want to give to you.  So with the death of the Workout, a new series is born: the Desktape Podcast.  This will serve the function that the Workout tapes did - give you guys a chance to listen to what I'm listening to and digging and playing out. And also (fingers crossed) as it grows, I'll be able to showcase some other DJs and bands' unique mixes.  But at its heart - I just want you to have something from me to enjoy at your desk banging out a paper or at work or when you're, well, working out!  But for now,  I'll be the main curator of the mixes.  Click below for the 1st installment.

END OF SUMMER UPDATE

I know, I know - bummer. But the summer isn't quite done with us yet.  These past few months I've been plotting and scheming behind closed doors with some awesome people to bring you some stuff that I hope you'll enjoy.  Plus, I've been a part of some amazing things, I had the chance to play with some of my good friends and favorite djs at the Magic Message, at Mighty with DJ Dirty (Sundae), I traveled a bit, shared the stage with Madlib and my New York party has been growing.

I've been excited for parties before, but this is probably up there with some of the most excited I've been. Aug 12th Zika and I will be play records at one of the best parties in the city (I've ever been to) with DJs Tony, Jeffery and Shern. We're honored to be invited to play the Magic Message.

Below are a list (or "collection" to be snooty) of my favorite DJ mixes... ever. All different genres, DJs from different eras and prominence from friends and disk jockeys I've never met. What makes a good mix for me is thoughtfulness.  When you can tell the DJ is trying to create a specific mood and feeling that takes you all over emotionally.  Hopefully this will give you a window into this world that I live in. MID-SUMMER UPDATE BOYEEEE

Hello all, it's been a little while. I hope you are doing well. This summer has been eventful, to say the least. New residencies, new parties, I've played some and am going to play other people's awesome parties.  Now let's get right to the meat-- this weekend you can catch me at my Saturday home, Rogues Gallery.

Sunday the 10th come chill with Ed Blammo and I at PYT for one of the best daytime Sunday chill sessions of all time.

Also, I've got a new party-- Cosmic Boogie starts up this month at Medusa a more detailed post will go up soon with a little mini mix to rock out to. Get ready people! Feel good jams alllll night.
