2010 We Hardly Knew Yee

Twenty Ten is coming to a close and as you all prepare to watch Snookie fall several hundred feet to her imminent demise (culturally that is) I just thought we should reflect a bit.  This has been a mammoth year for me and music.  But since this blog is about me, I just wanted to thank everyone who came out to see me, put up with my shenanigans and listened to one or every minute of the music.  Thank you.  This next year is already filling up getting looking very promising. Stay tuned.

As far as gigs go, I'm done for the year and I'm glad. This NYE is for friends.  May your NYE be filled with popped bottles, confetti and glitter covered supermodels.

Fall / October 2010 Update

Hello, humans of the internet. Time for another timely update from yours truly. Adios summer. I'll miss it so, but with cold weather comes parties galore. But before I get to that, I must do a bit of house keeping. As of 11:59pm tonight I will be taking all of my mixes offline with the exeption of one or two. From now on I'll only put out live mixes, The Workout series will continue but it will be way bigger and better. So get them while you can here: http://djbruce.official.fm

A few big shows for me coming up. One in particular on November 14th I'll be djaying a hip hop show with some big local talent. I'll post more info when they get their stuff together. I'll also be traveling again the first week of November so Georgia residents get ready.

For my West Philly heads I'll be making a (one time only) special appearance at the Blockley Pourhouse this Thursday the 21st. I will be playing only cool must so get your head out of your ass and come dance around with me and BHB.

I'm looking forward to some fun things in Q4. There are a few parties worth going to this month after the jump plus some jammys worth jamming to. Cheer's ya'll.

August update pt. 1 (Adios Isaac!)

Hey, ya'll. July was a crazy busy month with crazy goings on.  Last week (or this past Saturday) I tweeted that there was some big news comin'. Well, here is that big news! After lengthy negotiations in a hot, cigar smoke-filled basement, a deal was struck between myself and Tommy Up, owner of the AWESOME burger joint / venue PYT in Northern Liberties in Philly. The WORKOUT will now call the back room at PYT its home!  What this means for you? You have another place to party in NoLibs on Thursday night!

Also this month I released a new Workout mixtape. The original download link was deleted so here's the NEW one for your downloading pleasure. 

Also in the news, my other party No Pop! is homeless right now due to some issues that I will cover in part 2. I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who made it out this summer. It was tons of fun for me and the guests that stopped by.  As I'm learning time and time and time again, this industry is... what it is.  Details lata.... Lata folks.

P.S. I want to say adios to the homie Isaac Jordan. He's been a big bro of sorts to me since I began this journey long ago. He's making moves and moving to Spain!  Peep one of his final US sets for a while at the Sundae party. I heard Royale stopped by too.
