If there's a DJ's DJ DJ who sets the bar ridiculously high (which in my opinion are most of the people that will show up in this series), it's NYC's Eli Escobar. A personal hero of mine, classically trained on the decks without being hyper-technical (but super technical at the same time if you're listening), a walking record collection and a fantastic producer of dance music and hip hop alike. This guy can put a set together that will blow your fucking mind every time. I've had the privilege to hear him play live a couple times in Philly and each time has been a learning experience. Eli is vintage soul and a treasure of the DJ scene. Real music lovers know. Never once have I heard him play G6. Google this dude and get familiar.
[You will] Enjoy this set of his after the jump from U Hall DC.
Cheers, mates.
